Village Hall Tidy-up Day – TEST POST
On Saturday October 8th, we’re having a ‘tidy up day’. This will mostly focus around the village hall and play area. We have a really good Hall and it is used by a range of groups as well as private bookings throughout the year. Local children and visitors are often seen in the play area. Of course with constant use and to attract bookings we need to make sure it’s well maintained.
The weather thwarted us last year but fingers crossed we can, with your help, do some overdue cleaning. There will be drinks, soup and sandwiches provided throughout the day so please come along for an hour, all day (from about 10 ish ) or somewhere in between. Contact Jan Firth on 474469 if you’re up for it. Thank you to villagers who responded to last months Wrambler mention.
The main jobs will be….
Inside: washing down paintwork in the downstairs room; cleaning the doors and window frames; tidying the stage and store rooms.
Outside: washing door and window frames; clearing and sweeping the car park (prior to resurfacing); tidying Elsie’s garden; painting the seats.
If you don’t feel able to help with the cleaning work, why not come along to help with refreshments etc…
PLEASE SUPPORT THE UPKEEP OF YOUR VILLAGE HALL – from Jan Firth
